Residing with his family in Spirit Lake, ID, Joe Kronenberg is a self taught artist working in oils and pastels. He has studied and been influenced by the Flemish and Venetian styles of Dutch art as well as the Hudson River School of artists Luminism and Tonalism techniques and the 19th century classical realists styles which come out in the “old world” feel his wildlife paintings take on. He was the 2009 recipient of the CMR Auction’s “Ralph ‘Tuffy’ Berg Award” given to the most promising up and coming artist, as well numerous peoples choice and best of show awards. Joe is a member of Western Artists of America and he is represented in galleries in Jackson, WY, Coeur d’Alene, ID Whitefish, MT and Red Lodge, MT.
