A native of the Midwest, Janeen grew up with an interest in the arts and wildlife. She began her professional career in art in 1975 as a commercial artist and illustrator. In 1980, Janeen began to develop her expertise in wildlife watercolors, specializing in birds and nature scenes. Always striving for perfection in the realism of her subjects she spends much time hiking and exploring with camera and plein air pack.
Janeen's style is high detail realism in drybrush watercolor. Her watercolors depict coastal scenes of wildlife, historic homes and gardens.
Janeen has work in collections in the United States and Canada and has shown throughout the western United States in Wildlife and Western art shows including the prestigious American Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
