Greg Scheibel has always felt a strong connection with the outdoors. Throughout his life he has spent a great deal of time outside, fishing, hunting and hiking, which have led to an intimate knowledge of the landscapes he now chooses to paint. He has loved to draw for as long as he can remember, and believes good drawing is a prerequisite to good painting, regardless of technique or subject matter. Greg has dedicated himself to becoming a better artist, through continual study, hard work, and a genuine passion for what he is doing. He feels fortunate to have received advice and instruction from a number of exceptional artists in recent years, with the most important lesson being the value of painting from life. He participates in a number of regional and national shows, and has received several awards for his work, including the Artists Choice Award at the Treasure State Art Show, and Scholarships from the Scottsdale Artists School, and the Plein Air Painters of America. Greg lives in Bozeman, Montana with his wife Tracy, and their two children, Mike and Nicole.
