Darrell Bush
Raised on a farm near Moline, Illinois and returning later to live in Moline, he graduated from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb with a degree in fine art. In 1986, he and his wife moved to the Twin Cities where he worked as a graphic designer for Studio West in Minnetonka. There his mentor and good friend was successful wildlife painter Dan Smith.
In 1988, Bush designed an eight piece series for the Bradford Exchange and later won the Minnesota Pheasant Stamp contest. In 1992, he began doing prints for Hadley House, and this led to focus on nostalgia subject matter, now his trademark in his successful career.
