Joe Kronenberg Figurative Show
Friday, August 9, 2013; 5:00 - 8:00pm
Coeur d’Alene Galleries is very excited to present Joe Kronenberg’s inaugural figurative show. Residing in Spirit Lake, ID, Joe Kronenberg is also a very popular art teacher in the region, so you can expect a large crowd for the August ArtWalk. Primarily known for his stunning wildlife work featuring bears, wolves, elk and other North American big game, Kronenberg is constantly challenging himself as an artist. Joe says, “I want to be known as a solid, all-around artist, not just a wildlife artist.” Combining strong drawing skills and a variety of glazing techniques, Kronenberg breathes life into his historical figures which include mountain men, miners, cowboys and Native Americans. Kronenberg doesn’t stray from his use of dramatic lighting which you will find in most of his work. Although Kronenberg paints in a very realistic style and many artists tend to ‘loosen’ up over time, Joe is proud to have a look and feel he can call his own. Kronenberg’s style is easily identifiable when you walk into a gallery.
Joe Kronenberg is a self-taught artist who has been featured in numerous national publications including Western Art Collector and Western Art & Architecture. Kronenberg won the Ralph “Tuffy” Berg Award at the annual C.M. Russel Show in Great Falls, MT that benefits the C.M. Russell Museum. He’s also won numerous People’s Choice Awards from participating at shows across the country. Joe’s work can be found in major collections from California to Connecticut. Join us from 5-8pm at the Coeur d’Alene Galleries for an opportunity to meet and visit with Joe Kronenberg.
Join us from 5-8pm on Friday, August 9, 2013 at our new location: 213 E. Sherman Avenue. Joe Kronenberg will be present to talk about his technique and paintings.
