Glazier, Nancy 1947-

Always knowing she wanted to be an artist, Nancy Glazier's grandmother presented her with her first set of oil paints when she was eight. Her delighted father sold her first painting when she was twelve.

Painting is the very breath of her life. While she is painting, Glazier feels complete, joyful, powerful and free. Today, the animals Glazier prefers to paint are truly wild and free. Elk, deer, moose, bear, cougar, coyote, fox, birds from osprey to pine siskin, share their territory with her in the mountains of the Northwest. "My paintings invite you into this world. Journey with me awhile. I will share with you what the eyes of my heart see."

Today, Nancy is best known for her magnificent paintings of North American wildlife in their natural habitat, portrayed amid majestic backdrops. With every brush stroke she communicates a deep commitment to the preservation of wildlife and the environment. The year 2000, however, has brought about a new dimension to her work. Nancy explains, “In the spring of 2000, a season of new beginnings, an inner door flew open, and my first “left handwildlife paintings emerged.Although not ambidextrous, Nancy´s new “left-handedpaintings combine her years of training with accessing her mind through new channels.
