Lawshe, Hank 1935 - 1993
Born in 1935 in Los Angeles, CA, Hank Lawshe was a favorite of everyone who knew him. Lawshe grew up in Illinois on the family farm where he was a champion race car driver for five years. Lawshe's art career began in painting signs. In 1966, he started a career as a commercial artist in Fort Collins, CO. By 1971, he was promoted to Vice President. when his agency asked him to move, he declined and moved to Montana where he was a caretaker of a ranch.
Lawshe's art career took off when he won the Best of Show award at the 1977 C.M. Russell Art Show. In 1979, he was elected a member of the Northwest Rendezvous Group.
